Toxic Metals and Neurofeedback
“We contend that brain injury from toxic metals and other pollutant exposure, is much more commonplace than people realize. Toxic levels of such heavy metals as lead and mercury have long been known to cause behavioral problems in children. We will discuss the implications of exposure to other toxic materials in chapters 9 and 10, along with the role of nutrition. Pregnancy and birth trauma have been suspected in this causative hunt for a long time. The research generally supports the theory that there is a higher incidence of ADD type behavior in children who have had some problems during the gestational period or during delivery. Our clinical findings indicate that the problems are often related to such phenomena as a difficult pregnancy, long or hard labor, fetal distress, forceps delivery, anoxia, and jaundice. However, clinical observations are what the treating professional sees in the clinic and are not always confirmed by research data.” From Getting Rid of Ritalin by Robert W. Hill, Ph.D. and Eduardo Castro, M.D. Seizures may also be connected to difficulty in the womb and at delivery. Neurofeedback is very helpful with this condition, too. Drs. Kelsey. 260.432.8777.
